Lampwork Beads - Lampwork beads are handmade glass beads made by melting glass onto a mandrel. 

We offer a 5 hour, One-on-One course on making Lampwork beads in the store, by our resident artist, Michael Johnson
which consist of;

• learning Lampwork safety

• making a round bead

• making a tubular bead

• using shaping tools

• using frit and pixie dusts

• making dots and lines

• using the rake tools

• annealing beads in the kiln

Completing of the course will enable you to rent our Lampwork booth to make your own beads at your leisure, and we can assist you in setting up your own Lampwork studio at home.  And, you will go home with a handful of the most expensive beads that you will ever make :o)

Beginning Metals Course -

We offer a 5 hour One-on-One course on using metalworking tools to make beads and jewelry in the store, by our resident artist, Michael Johnson.  This is a course that can be tailored to your needs, but can consist of;

• designing a layout

• measuring and selecting your metals for projects

• stringing a saw blade and using a jeweler's saw

• using files

• using a bench pin

• using a flex-shaft rotary tool

• using the correct hammers

• making rivets

• basic solder skills

• patina and polishing
